How to Use Basetao With the W2C Spreadsheet, Step by Step
Buying through an agent feels intimidating the first time, but the loop is always the same: find a link, submit it, pay, inspect, then ship. Here is the full walkthrough for Basetao, from the spreadsheet to your doorstep.
Step 1: Find your product
Start on the W2Cspreadsheetcategoriessearch
Step 2: Submit the link to Basetao
Create a Basetao account, then paste the product link into the order or cart tool. Select the size, colour and quantity, and add any notes for the buyer (for example, a specific colourway or a request to double-check a defect-prone area). If you cannot find a product yourself, Basetao offers Search-for-me at no additional cost, so you can describe what you want and let the team locate a listing.
Step 3: Pay the item cost to the warehouse
At this stage you pay the product price plus its domestic Chinese shipping to Basetao's warehouse. This is not the international shipping fee yet. Basetao has one of the widest payment menus in the space, so pick whichever method is cheapest and most convenient for you, and confirm the current options on the official site.
Step 4: Review your QC photos
Once the item reaches the warehouse it is checked and QC photos are uploaded automatically, free of charge. Look closely at logos, stitching, colour and overall condition. If you want more angles, requesting additional photos carries no extra charge, and a low-cost measurement service (a 3 RMB handling fee) can confirm dimensions before you ship. Approve the item or request a return if something is wrong.
Step 5: Consolidate and choose a shipping line
Wait until all of your items have arrived, then consolidate them into one parcel. Because Basetao gives you 120 days of free storage, there is no rush, which is perfect if you are grouping several finds. Choose a shipping line based on price, speed and which items it accepts, and Basetao will pack everything together to save on volumetric weight.
Step 6: Pay international shipping and receive
Pay the final international shipping fee, then track the parcel to your address. Keep in mind that customs and duties depend on your destination country, not on the agent, so a parcel can occasionally be held or taxed at the border regardless of who shipped it. Basetao gives you the tracking details; from there it behaves like any international package. Once it clears, it is delivered to your door and your first agent order is complete.
A note on total cost
Your final spend is made up of three parts: the item and its domestic Chinese shipping, the international shipping line you choose, and any customs charges at home. Basetao does not charge for Ship-for-me or Search-for-me, and add-ons such as the 3 RMB measurement service are cheap, but the standard purchasing commission is not publicly disclosed. Confirm the current commission and any per-parcel fees on the official site so there are no surprises at checkout.
